We adopted a shelter dog, Shelby. He is believed to be a mix of golden retriever and beagle. He's only 6 or 7 months old, but he seemed to be a pretty chill dog and good with J. I've never had a dog before that liked to fetch a ball. He loves it.
This autumn has been unusually warm. Not that I'm complaining! We've enjoyed a lot of time outdoors, which is most excellent, and the fall foliage in our neighborhood has been quite amazing.
